Nadim Najjar
Nadim Najjar is Managing Director, Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa (CEEMA),
for London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG). In a career spanning 25 years, Nadim has proven
his leadership, technical and business acumen through a series of roles that saw him drive
business growth, employee engagement and customer satisfaction.
At Reuters, he oversaw the commissioning of information and dealing systems that enabled the
development of the financial industry across the region. At Thomson Reuters, Nadim took over
the management of the Middle East and North Africa business, expanding into new territories
and growing market share. At Refinitiv, Nadim championed the development of Islamic Finance
products including Islamic market data, research and intelligence, and trading and workflow
solutions that address the entire trading cycle for Islamic Finance instruments.
Nadim has broad experience of acquisitions and divestitures, both as part of a global operation
(such as the divestiture of the Intellectual Property & Science division at Thomson Reuters) and
in the integration of local acquisitions which have deepened the portfolio of the organization (the
acquisition of Zawya by Thomson Reuters).
He has substantial experience of change management, leading his team through Thomson
Reuters’ divestiture to create the $6 billion global data provider Refinitiv in 2019, and
culminating in LSEG’s market-shaping $27 billion acquisition of Refinitiv in 2021.
Most recently, Nadim has overseen LSEG’s integration and synergies program for the Middle
East & Africa, while managing the region. Post-pandemic, Nadim has worked with his leadership
team to implement a hybrid working approach that brings the benefits of in-office collaboration
and connection alongside flexibility for colleagues, maximising wellbeing and productivity.
A strong advocate for gender equality and diversity in the workplace, Nadim is an Advisory
Board Member of Reach, a non-profit mentoring program for young professionals, and is a
supporter and advocate for the MEA chapters of LSEG’s diversity and inclusion networks.
Nadim is fluent in Arabic, English and French. He holds an honors degree in Engineering,
Computer & Communications Engineering from the American University of Beirut and in 2017
was listed as one of the top 100 executives in the region by Forbes Middle East.
